Two years in the making from concept to completion, AMOR VINCIT OMNIA is a mural by artist Drew Merritt on the newly completed Virgin Hotels Dallas. Drew conceptualized with the Virgin Hotel Dallas art curator Lesli Marshall and together in January 2018 they collected props and elegant gowns for a photo shoot to get the exact lighting and poses needed to create this composition. The mural was then planned out digitally, and finally painted in the dead of Texas summer 2019 with ONLY SPRAY PAINT. We then worked with Jason Burt and Lydia Umlauf who created a beautiful rendition of Smashing Pumpkins ‘Tonight, Tonight’, which was recorded on the Virgin Records label. We had the honor of documenting the entire process, and are so happy to see this wonderful collaboration between Lesli and Drew come to fruition!
