Emmanuel van der Auwera is a filmmaker and video artist we first came across at Untitled, Miami Beach.  His installation was by far the most intriguing, inventive, and intelligent work we came across the entire week of Art Basel.  Coincidentally, the following year we became friends with gallerist Harlan Levey of Harlan Levey Projects at Dallas Art Fair.  Harlan formally introduced us to Emmanuel who he represents in his gallery, and since then, we've had the pleasure of documenting his exhibit at 214 Projects where the Dallas Museum of Art acquired Sculpture XX (World's 6th Sense) and later met up in Brussels Belgium to document an interview discussion on his diptych: The Sky Is On Fire and The Death of K9 Cigo.
