Evita Tezeno is a collage artist from Texas working with paper that she personally dyes and prints by hand.  The figures portrayed in her works are semi autobiographical, and celebrate Black families and communities much like the one Evita grew up in, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Compositionally, the pieces are fun and playful evoking feelings of joy, peace and a quiet sense of pride.  Up close, the works are a kaleidoscope of colors, with infinite textures and details that make the pieces delightfully memorable.
