Sign painting has a rich history dating back thousands of years, and while its starting point is often commercial in nature, the level of skill and expertise poured into a piece catapults it to the realm of fine art. 

In this documentary, we meet artist Sean Starr who has worked for decades on everything from hot-rods, to traditional signs, to the ultra-rare Églomisé craft of gilding on glass. Sean discusses his process and dedication to the craft.
